So in 2019 it was no surprise when our MD of Timeless Technologies, Tinus Diedericks, who has years of industry experience in searching for the best products, technology, and solutions, approached the TimeTech team with the idea to investigate and learn more about InfiRay. After our investigations and product demo’s we were more than happy and satisfied to introduce InfiRay to our client base with much ease to the high standard of the products.
In 2022, Timeless Technologies decided to take it further and start our affiliated branch of the InfiRay brand. InfiRay Africa was born.
To launch our new sister company, InfiRay Africa, the TimeTech team in partnership with InfiRay decided to do a nationwide roadshow to visit all our resellers, sub-distributors, and new potential client. On this trip, we would be able to demonstrate new products, share exciting news for the future, and listen to any questions and concerns that they have.
We had the pleasure of hosting Modric Liu from InfiRay Outdoor in Hefei, China to join the two-and-a-half-week adventure through the country.
On October 10, Modric arrived in South Africa and our team made sure we would utilize this time and have a packed schedule to see all our clients! With all the work we also wanted to ensure that our guest could experience our beautiful country, get to meet our clients, and demonstrate InfiRay Outdoor’s excellent products and capabilities.
The first week was dominated by client visits to the Western Cape region. Through some client visits, we could show Modric the beauty that the Western Cape has to offer, which kicked off in Hermanus with the team from Overberg Guns & Ammo which hosted us with a “lekker” South African braai.
Next stop, our team took a trip to Piketberg where they met with the InfiRay sub-distributors, Abraham Visser, SP Tredoux, and Albert Carstens.
Over a lovely lunch, they discussed exciting new ventures of InfiRay Africa and chat about any suggestions and ideas on how InfiRay can incorporate the South African market.
After a long and eventful week, it was time to recharge! A trip to the beach is also a wonderful way to unwind and refresh.
After meeting some more clients in Robertson, Montagu, and Napier, Modric and the TimeTech team went to Struisbaai, Agulhas (The most Southern Tip in Africa) for some well-deserved relaxing time.
On Monday, October 17, following a peaceful weekend and a delicious braai, it’s time for a full-fledged South African road trip. Herman Snyman our Technical Manager of InfiRay Africa and Timeless Technologies and Modric of InfiRay Outdoors pack their belongings, load the trunk full of equipment and begin their 4500-kilometer voyage inland.
Their first stop is in Beaufort West. Here they met with the amazing team from Beaufort Wes Vuurwapens which hosted an InfiRay demonstration with the local Beaufort West farmers community.
After a successful meeting in Beaufort West, the team sets out for Hopetown. They meet with Thomas Smit, who has organized an entertaining InifRay demonstration with several local farmers.
Our team demonstrated the equipment and discuss new and exciting products.
Following a fruitful demo night with the Hopetown farmers, the two travel to Wepener, Free State. They are once again received warmly by Barend Meiring from Jancorem.
This meeting offers another great opportunity to have a demo night with the local farmers and community from Wepener to showcase the leading night vision technology that InfiRay has to offer.
Early the next morning, with their bags packed, it was time to hit the road again. The next stop was Newcastle, Kwazulu-Natal, where the team got the chance to meet with Steve Brown and later that evening with iThemba Security’s, Morne Potgieter.
On the next stop of their exciting adventure, the road takes them to Frankfort. Here, they were hosted by the AgriFrist team, Ablie, Neels, and Shoukie.
Our team gets to enjoy the beautiful Frankfort area for the weekend where they visited the Drakensberge and surroundings and obviously had to work in another braai!
Modric was treated with Shoukie’s traditional mouth-watering “paptert” and some “lekker tjoppies”!
To make the visit to Frankfort even more eventful, it was time to “play” with the demo equipment from InfiRay.
The AgriFirst team had organized a shooting competition that was attended by the local clients, farmers, and community members!
After a whole lot of fun and some serious competition, InfiRay Africa and InfiRay Outdoor ensured that the winners receive a well-deserved prize!
The shooting competition was a great event and showcased true South African hospitality and spirit!
After partaking in a momentous end-of-the-week in Frankfort, they set off on a mission to Ermelo to meet with the team from Wildman Ermelo.
Brothers Bennie and Frikkie du Plooy of Wildman ensured a great meet and greet with and InfiRay demonstration attended by local community members and farmers at their lodge, Indawo Game Lodge.
After 2 jam-packed weeks of traveling and meeting some amazing clients, farmers, and members of various communities across South Africa, the final stop on the roadshow was Johannesburg, where Modric was scheduled to return to China from O.R Thambo International Airport.

With Timeless Technologies turning 22 years old this year, we have gained great knowledge of what the best solutions are and what will work for our clients. Our number one priority is, and will always be to offer our clients the best products and solutions that we try and test ourselves.
The future for InfiRay Africa is bright with many upgrades and changes on the horizon. The amazing team at InfiRay Outdoor listened to our client’s suggestions and comments and they are working hard to make adjustments to the products to adapt to the South African and African market.
With new languages being added to the equipment and software upgrades being made to fit our environment, we are excited to share all the exciting updates with you soon!
